Ti-84 Plus CE Games

  • 1: Get a Ti-84 Plus CE.
  • CE stands for Color, and most games you can get come in color or have color options.
  • 2: Install ti-84 connect ce
  • https://education.ti.com/en/products/computer-software-ce-sw the Connect Software is available for Mac and Windows computers.
  • 3: Download Games.
  • For an example, I will be showing how to add gameboy games to a calculator. Lists of Games can be found by a simple search. Continue forward for standard games, or scroll past this until you see Pokemon instructions. (labled)
  • 4: Open Ti-Connect CE software.
  • The opening screen should Say connnected calculators. To the left of the, look for screen capture. Look down until you see calculator explorer. Here is where you will be able to see your calculator's files.
  • 5: Connect your calculator to your computer.
  • No setup should be needed, then click the option for Ti-84 plus CE when it pops up.
  • 6: Getting your calculator up to date.
  • Some calculators may require an OS upgrade. Turn on your calculator. Then, Press [2nd] [MEM]. Then, Press [1] or [ENTER]. Check the OS version number below the calculator name. If the OS version is less than 5.3, your calculator is not up to date. To update,go to https://education.ti.com/en/software/update/download-84ce?soft=84-pl-ce, and scroll down until you see Download TI-84 Plus CE OS and Apps Bundle. Click the button and save the file. The file downloaded should be in a .b84 file format.
  • 7: Installing updates.
  • On the TI-Connect CE software, right-click the bar that says: TI-84 Plus CE. Then click: Send OS/Bundle to Calculator... Then open up the file that you saved earlier, in a .b84 format. Then let your calculator update. If you encounter an error, contact me at galaxyrex25yt@gmail.com, or kabae@millstone.k12.nj.us. (Gmail is checked more often). 8: Cleaning up the file system. Many file can be removed. Most that should be removed can be background images (image1, image2, etc.) and languages other then ENGLISH.     Downloading Normal games to a calculator.

    1: Obtaining games. Any site will do. Examples are pong, tetris, etc. Most games will be called BASIC ti-84 games or Assembly ti-84 games.
  • 2: Uploading games.
  • On the TI-84 connect CE software, click Calculator explorer on the left hand side. Then select TI-84 Plus Ce right next to it. Here, you can drag and .b84 games you have. Example: Visual Tetris. Tetris: www.cemetech.net/news.php?id=755. Click where it says Tetris A (tetris) for the ti-84 plus ce. Note: You MUST be using a ti-84 plus CE to use this game. Then click where it says Download: Tetric A (Tetris) in red. Save the file (should be .zip) and right-click the file and select extract or extract all... From there, you will be promped to select a folder where files will be extracted. Then click extract. Next, send ATETRIS and tetrica to your calculator by clicking the add content from computer button above the words: CONNECTED CALCULATORS(1). GO to the folder through the file window and holding [control] and clicking the separate files, click Open in the bottom window. Make sure that both Atetris and tetrica are saved to the RAM location, not the ARCHIVE location. Then click SEND in the bottom of the pop-up. Tetris is now loaded.
  • 3: Running games.
  • On your calculator, click the [prgm] button and then hit enter on ATETRUS. Your calculator should not say prgmATETRIS. Hit enter on the calculator and play! Controls:Start: Enter, [2nd] to rotate left, [alpha] to rotate right, [enter] to send to bottom and [clear] three times to exit.
